St. Patrick’s Day felt a little strange this year. Grandma has always done a traditional dinner
with corned beef and cabbage. But
especially since Husband and Grandpa were away on business, I decided not to
attempt it myself. Instead we played at
home. And I think ate pizza. (this is why I need to blog more
consistently, and right away.)
Anyway. The night before, the
girls went to bed eagerly anticipating mischief and disappointed that we ran
out of time and I wouldn’t let them stay up late to set traps. But much to their delight, there was a trail
of Lucky Charms leading down the hall and all the way into the pantry where
something had obviously tipped over a big box of the cereal and tracked it
everywhere. And then they found
chocolate coins hidden throughout the house.
They wore green, they colored pictures and had school parties. They were thrilled.
