Yesterday E was “special leader” at preschool which is the
teacher’s brilliant way of assigning one student to be her helper for the day
plus getting the kids to bring their own snacks. And the kids love it! So she was super excited. But to make it even more exciting, this week
her class is working on the letter “P”.
Nearly every week she has asked if Penny, her stuffed animal panda, can
go to school with her. And I’ve always
had to say no. About two weeks ago, she
figured out that when her class does the letter “P”, Penny the Panda could come
as her sound and tell item! So she was
awake, dressed and ready for school in record time. She picked out popcorn to take as the snack
and told Penny all about the exciting day she would have. Then after school, she had to wrap Penny up
(swaddle-style) in a little purple baby blanket and made her take a nap after
her busy day.
