28 reasons yesterday was awesome
1. woke up from a good night's sleep especially due to one of husband's magic backrubs
2. woke up sandwiched between two beautiful cuddly girls
3. no one spilled their cereal at breakfast!
4. got to have daddy join us for breakfast
5. got to shower uninterrupted while daddy got the girls dressed
6. cuddling girls for a movie
7. perfect weather
8. playdate at the park
9. got to take a picnic to daddy for lunch
10. spent half of naptime scrapbooking
11. and half lounging in my bed
12. double stuffed oreos
13. the girls were so happy to see their favorite baby sitter that Ladybug offered to share her favorite blanket with her and Butterfly asked "mom can you go away and do something so I can play with my friend?"
14. Ladybug, without any prompting, used the potty by herself for the babysitter (I gave up trying weeks ago! decided she wasn't ready and would wait)
15. got to run errands with my smokin hot husband (which means running in and out of two different stores in less than 15 minutes. this would have taken an hour if I had to drive, park, unbuckle kids, herd kids, conduct business, more herding, buckle, drive again, etc.)
16. looked at blessing dresses with daddy (I love when he offers opinions, truthfully he hates shopping and would be fine with letting me pick but I appreciate that he humors me)
17, 18, 19. the absolutely exquisite birthday gift husband made for me--teardrop shaped opal earrings and necklace. They are so beautiful and look especially incredible in the sunlight to highlight the strong red streaks in the pearl white
20. thoughtful gifts from my two moms (spa gift card/book and theater tickets, they know me so well!)
21. meeting friends for dinner (another couple we haven't seen for awhile) and laughing so hard I think I burned off half my dinner before leaving the restaurant
22. best.steak.ever.
23. cookie skillet with ice cream and hot fudge for dessert
24. getting to enjoy a long drive holding husband's hand
25. children already sound asleep when we got home
26. an explosion of birthday wishes on facebook
27. thoughtful and fun texts and voicemails from friends and family (including being serenading by some incredibly talented family--no one can do impromptu harmony like these amazing people)
28. falling asleep cuddling smokin hot husband
yea for being 28, we're off to a great start. :)
